BUXTON BLASTS HIS WAY TO THE PODIUM
CLIO CHAMP RETURNS WITH AMEREY
21/9/09
Danny Buxton made his long awaited return to the Renault Clio Cup at Rockingham. After coaching the Amery squad for the previous two races an opportunity to help David Newisham secure 3rd place in the championship came up for the former champion.
Having been away for 6 years all eyes were on Buxtons return. He stunned by being quickest in the final test on friday and then qualified his Amery motorsport machine 5th and 6th for sunday two races.
Two fantastic drives brought home two second place finishes for Buxton, only to be pipped to the line by Philip Glew the 2010 champion.
Danny commented "Wow! what a return, I must thank Amery for the opportunity it could not have gone better! I only got to drive the car for the first time on friday. I must admit it was a real help having Tom in the stands watching and helping me with split times and lines throughout the weekend. I just hope this proves to everyone that here at Rightline we have the real credentials to help drivers of any standard"
